The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences promotes interaction between theology and science through research, teaching and public service. It focuses on physics, cosmology, evolutionary biology, genetics and other topics in the neurosciences, technology, the environmental sciences and mathematics. The central theological focus is on Christian theology, ethics and spirituality, with additional attention to the theological issues arising from the engagement between the sciences and world religions. Robert John Russell is director. The center is based in Berkeley, Calif.
