Eimad C. Houry is co-director of the religion and public diplomacy program and professor of political science at Mercer University in Georgia.

Zahra Babar is executive director at the Center for International and Regional Studies at Georgetown University in Qatar. Previously, she has served with the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Development Program. Her current research interests include rural development, migration and labor policies, and citizenship in the Persian Gulf states.

Peyman Eshaghi is an anthropologist and sociologist of religion with the Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies, Freie Universität Berlin. He co-edited the book with Muslim Pilgrimage in the Modern World with Babak Rahimi. 

Babak Rahimi is director of the Third World Studies Program and associate professor of communication, culture and religion at the University of California San Diego. He co-edited the book with Muslim Pilgrimage in the Modern World with Peyman Eshaghi.

Wissam al-Saliby is President of the 21Wilberforce Global Freedom Center. Al-Saliby is an expert in international religious freedom and human rights who brings more than fifteen years of experience in advocating for religious freedom at the United Nations, training and capacity building for human rights in the Middle East and around the world.
