Brittney Thomas is director of the Kentucky branch of Not for Sale: Re-Abolish Slavery. She says she believes that with increased awareness, human trafficking can be extinguished within her lifetime.

Gene Thursby is an associate professor of religion at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He co-edited The Hindu World.

Rachel Braver is the coordinator of the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking, a coalition of state agencies and nonprofit groups that respond to human trafficking violations in the state.

Arvind Sharma is a professor of comparative religion at McGill University in Montreal and specializes in modern Hindu thought. He is the author of Classical Hindu Thought: An Introduction.

Tom Gillan is with the Office of Criminal Justice for Catholic Charities of Central Florida. He is part of a three-person team that conducts workshops on recognizing and combating human trafficking for NGOs and nonprofits in Central Florida. The local diocese operates a juvenile justice program through the office.

Robin Rinehart is an associate professor in religious studies at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. She is an expert in Hinduism and Hindu saints.

Austin New Church of Austin, Texas, is involved in the fight against human trafficking.  

Katie Pedigo is executive director of New Friends New Life, a Dallas nonprofit that helps women working in sexually oriented businesses create new lives for themselves and their children. Preston Road Church of Christ hosts weekly meals and Bible classes for the women’s children.
