She is a specialist in the implications of psychology for neuroscience, artificial intelligence, our view of humanity and the nature of creativity and human freedom. She is a fellow of the British Academy and a humanist philosopher.

Simon Blackburn is a Distinguished Research Professor of philosophy at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a professor of philosophy at the University of Cambridge. He is a humanist philosopher and the vice president of the British Humanist Association.
