Open to journalists, public policy practitioners, activists, academics and others from around the world. Applicants propose innovative solutions to open society challenges. Full-time fellows receive a stipend of $80,000 or $100,000. Most fellowships last one year.

Promotes the rule of law, a democratically active public and human rights through programs, grants and cooperation among civil society actors.  Work includes Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Multimedia on website.
