The Free Congress Foundation in Washington is a non-partisan organization dedicated to addressing the problems in the U.S. It was founded by Paul Weyrich and in 1977 co-founded Moral Majority with the Rev. Jerry Falwell. He was CEO of the Free Congress Research and Education Foundation.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council) of America is an organization that works to promote Hinduism among transplanted Hindis and to educate others about the religion. Its president is Abhaya Asthana. It is based in Houston, Tex.

On March 3, 2011, the Appignani Bioethics Center, a project of the American Humanist Association, hosted a panel discussion, “Human Trafficking, Exploitation and Abuse of Sex Workers: Suggested Remedies.” It took place during the 55th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York.
