Michael Barkun is a professor emeritus of political science at the Maxwell School at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. He is the author of A Culture of Conspiracy: Apocalyptic Visions in Contemporary America and Religion and the Racist Right: The Origins of the Christian Identity Movement.

Yachad, the National Jewish Council for Disabilities, works on behalf of individuals who have disabilities. It has chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada. Dr. Jeffrey Lichtman is national director.

Empowering Jews With Disabilities works to give a voice to Jews with disabilities. It was founded by Marlee Kivens, who has spina bifida. It is based in Minnetonka, Minn.

The Rev. William F. Davis is deputy secretary for schools on the Committee on Public Policy and Catholic Schools for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.  

Lawrence Rosen is William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Anthropology at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J., and an adjunct professor of law at Columbia University Law School. He was, in 1981, among the first winners of the MacArthur Foundation “genius grants.” His interest is in contemporary Muslim culture and law.
