The Rev. John Fife retired in 2005 after serving 30 years as pastor of Southside Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Ariz. Fife works with humanitarian programs, including Humane Borders, that provide food, water and medical care for migrants crossing the Arizona desert. He is co-founder of the immigrant rights group No More Death.

Martinez J. Hewlett is an emeritus professor of molecular biology at the University of Arizona, a lay member of the Dominican order and resident of Taos, N.M. He is also an adjunct professor at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology of the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif.

Casey Self is director of cross-college advising services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered issues at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.

Leo Godzich is head of the National Association of Marriage Enhancement in Phoenix. His group opposes same-sex marriage.
