Mary Lou Wallner is the co-founder, with her husband, Bob, of Teach Ministries, an organization that works to educate Christian congregations about the dangers of homophobia. The Wallners founded the organization after the suicide of their daughter, a lesbian. They live in North Little Rock, Ark.

Mohja Kahf is a poet and an associate professor of literature at the University of Arkansas. She writes about gender issues and Arab-American women.

William Lindsey is an assistant professor of religious studies at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. While a professor at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Ark., he co-edited Religion and Public Life in the Southern Crossroads: Showdown States.

Najib Ghadbian is an assistant professor of political science and Middle East studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Ghadbian’s research interests include political currents and media in the Arab world, Islamic movements, Syrian politics, and domestic and international politics in the Arabian/Persian Gulf.

Donna Bowman is a professor of religious studies at the Honors College of the University of Central Arkansas and has written on the role of sports and faith.

Jim Deitrick is an associate professor and director of the Humanities and World Cultures Institute at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. His specialties include religion and social ethics and comparative religions.

Dr. Bonnie J. Taylor is professor of pediatrics in the neonatology section at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and medical director of Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. She has chaired the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Ethics Committee.
