Ellen Wiebe is a clinical professor in the department of family practice at the University of British Columbia. She advocates for access to medically assisted suicide and, after Canada legalized the practice, developed an organization called Hemlock AID to help patients and doctors understand their rights.

Lori G. Beaman is a professor of classics and religious studies at the University of Ottawa. She is principal investigator for the Religion and Diversity Project, which explores how to promote peace in religiously diverse societies.

Bishop Lionel Gendron is president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. He oversaw the creation of “Protecting Minors from Sexual Abuse,” the organization’s guidelines to responding to and preventing sexual abuse, which was released in October 2018.

Andrew Bennett is a senior fellow with the Religious Freedom Institute in Washington, D.C., and law program director for Cardus, a faith-based think tank in Ontario, Canada. He previously served as Canada’s ambassador for religious freedom.

Ross Hastings is a professor of theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. His research interests include pastoral theology, mission spirituality and religion and science.
