The Center for Clinical Bioethics was established in 1991 at Georgetown University Medical Center as a university-based bioethics resource for those who shape and give health care. Edmund D. Pellegrino is founding director.

The National Information Resource on Ethics and Human Genetics is funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health. It is part of the Georgetown Bioethics Library at Georgetown University.

The Bioethics Research Library at Georgetown University is part of the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. It has a multiformat collection of sources relevant to issues of ethics in science.

Edgardo Menvielle, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, works in a program for children with gender-variant behaviors and their families at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Jennifer Wiseman is an astronomer and director of the Dialogue on Science, Ethics and Religion for the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She is also an astrophysicist and studies the formation of stars and planets.  

John Mellor is an agricultural economist and world hunger expert based in Washington, D.C. He received the Presidential Award from Ronald Reagan for his work to reduce hunger in the world.

Imam Mohamed Magid is imam and executive director of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society in the Washington, D.C., area.

Max Finberg is former director of the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He formerly headed the Alliance to End Hunger.
