David Solomon is associate professor of philosophy at Notre Dame University and directs the Center for Ethics and Culture.  Much of his studies involve morals and virtues in the modern day. 

The Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis explores the connection between religion and other aspects of American culture.

Paul Weithman is a professor of philosophy at Notre Dame University and the author of Religion and the Obligations of Citizenship.

Rashied Omar is Research Scholar of Islamic Studies and Peacebuilding at the University of Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. He says bin Laden defiled Islam. An expert on Islam, religion and violence, interreligious dialogue and peacebuilding, Omar trained in religious studies at the University of Cape Town and in Sudan, Pakistan and Malaysia.

Gerard F. Powers is professor of the practice of Catholic peacebuilding at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Raymond J. DeMallie is professor of anthropology and adjunct professor of folklore at Indiana University, where he directs the American Indian Studies Research Institute. His books include, as co-editor, Handbook of North American Indians, Volume 13, Plains (Smithsonian Institution, 2001).

Brian Buchanan is chief of the Miami Nation of Indiana.

The University of Notre Dame’s Center for the Study of Latino Religion does research on Hispanics and religion.

The Indianapolis Center for Congregations works with congregations in Indiana to provide resource counseling, educational events, and grants. The Center has four offices throughout the state. The Rev. Timothy Shapiro is president.
