Kay Pranis has worked in the field of restorative justice for almost two decades. She was the restorative justice planner for the Minnesota Department of Corrections for nine years. Pranis calls the spread of restorative justice a “quiet revolution.”

William Doherty is professor of family social science and education and human development at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis-St. Paul. He has written several articles involving faith and families.

Debby Reisinger is interim executive director of MICAH (Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing), through which 150 Christian, Jewish and Muslim congregations organize to advocate for affordable housing. It’s based in Minneapolis.

Kathryn Rettig is a professor of family social science at the University of Minnesota who has looked at marriage issues, child support systems and the values underlying end-of-life decisions.

Paul Z. “PZ” Myers is an associate professor of biology at the University of Minnesota, Morris. He is known for his provocative challenges of religion, including a 2008 incident in which he drove a rusty nail through a consecrated Eucharistic host. He describes himself as a “a godless liberal” on his blog, Pharyngula.

Michael Lackey is an associate professor of English at the University of Minnesota, Morris. His research interests include God and religion in literature, and atheism, and he is the author of African American Atheists and Political Liberation: A Study of the Sociocultural Dynamics of Faith (2007).

Ann M. Svennungsen is president of the Fund for Theological Education, an Atlanta-based ecumenical organization that gives fellowships and support to young women and men exploring ministry, and Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. She was elected Bishop by the Minneapolis Area Synod Assembly in 2012.
