Robert Odawi Porter, a member of the Seneca Nation, is senior associate dean and professor at Syracuse University’s College of Law in Syracuse, N.Y. He is Dean’s Research Scholar of Indigenous Nations Law and directs The Center for Indigenous Law, Governance and Citizenship.

Keith E. Sealing, is dean at Syracuse University’s College of Law in Syracuse, N.Y., tracks court cases involving American Indian religious issues. He has researched whether the First Amendment free-exercise clause should prohibit states from banning religiously motivated polygamy.

Oren R. Lyons is a professor of American studies at State University of New York, Buffalo. He is a faithkeeper in the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga Nation, responsible for maintaining and representing customs and traditions of his people. He publishes Daybreak, a national American Indian magazine.

John Anthony McGuckin is a professor at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He is the author of The Orthodox Church: An Introduction to Its History, Doctrine and Spiritual Culture (2008) and many other books and articles.

John H. Erickson is professor of church history at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, N.Y.

Bill Ayres is executive director of WhyHunger, which works to battle poverty and hunger in the U.S. and abroad. It posts resources on the Food and Farm Bill.

The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute is operated out of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., and regularly conducts surveys of residents of Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia as well as nationwide.
