Media and Society Programme
Campaign to improve media coverage of social issues by promoting professional connections between journalists, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Goal is to help public and private organizations understand the media and deal with them professionally. Activities include seminars; training workshops; and networking between CSOs, NGOs and journalists.
Rural Journalists Skills Development Programme
Rural journalists in Pakistan receive basic training in news gathering, writing and transmission; social and development issues; and journalistic duties, rights and ethics. Workshops have taken place in areas such as Tharparkar, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Dir, Chitral and Skardu.
