Juan Carlos Cruz is an advocate for survivors of clergy sexual abuse. By sharing his own experience of abuse, he spurred the Vatican to take action in Chile and later received an apology from Pope Francis. Cruz now lives in Philadelphia and works in communications.

Lucy Duncan is the director of friends relations for the American Friends Service Committee. In December 2018, she was arrested with other faith leaders during a protest along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Rev. Zack Jackson is the pastor of Community United Church of Christ in Reading, Pa. He helped organize the UCC’s Science and Technology Network.

Edward B. “Ted” David is a professor of the history of science at Messiah College.

Beth Kissileff is an author and journalist based in Pittsburgh. She is a member of one of the congregations that meets at Tree of Life synagogue and, after the Oct. 27 shooting, shared stories about the religious lives of the victims she knew.

Donald Braxton is a professor of religion at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He has planned a conference on and written about transhumanism and can speak to issues related to religion and film.
