The Progressive Atheists were formed by four Australian atheists in 2010 to transform Australian “society through the unity of its peoples in active opposition to: religion, racism, sexism, homophobia, economic class exploitation, age discrimination and all other forms of oppression and discrimination.” It is based in Blackburn and maintains branches in Geelong and Melbourne.
